How to make chocolate ice cream?

1. Boil the milk and simmer till it gets thicker
2. Take the cocoa or milo powder
3. Slowly mix it to get lump less liquid
4. Add the cocoa or milo paste to the boiling milk along with sugar
5. Continue cooking till the sauce thickens.
6. Cook till the milk is almost reduced to half and the sauce is thick. Normally in most ice creams, they recommend to use evaporated milk. This is exactly what happens
7. Using a hand blender, blend it well
8. Finally goes the whipped cream. 
9. Then goes the condensed milk, blend it together well
10. Pour it into aluminums vessel for it to freeze fast
11. After approximately 2 hours, see how the sides are crystallized.  Using the blender, whisk it again and freeze it
12. After 4+ hours, it would have completed formed

What are we doing last Saturday?

 

Last Saturday, 15th March 2014, we have handle one project requested from Academy Golf, UUM to be a guide and bring their academy's student and staff climbs the Jerai mount. Simple! We have divided into two groups.

First group, guide the climber and the second group, cooking! Of course I am choosing the second group and because of I've climb the mount last year (Feb 2013) during KO-K. No need twice, one times is good enough. Urrghhh... I can't hold the phone since busy in cooking. And of course there are no photo during climbing because of I am not there. Hehe.. Unfortunately, dish team do not have picture! Arghh pity us.. Busy with lunch preparation of course.. What to say...

Rises above the surrounding plains at 1217 m (3993 ft) above sea level and visible for miles around, is the legendary Gunung Jerai formally known as Kedah Peak. 

It is located at the border of Kuala Muda -Yan districts of Kedah and is about 24 km from Sungai Petani town. The highest mountain in the state of Kedah offers spectacular views of the valley below, including nearby islands of Pulau Bunting, Pulau Sonsong, Pulau Telor and Pulau Bidan.

Gunung Jerai now has a brand new look since it was privatized and undergone renovation. It is managed by The Regency and the place is reopened as Jerai Hill Resort. 

Gunung Jerai plays a most important part in the history of Kedah. Years before Melaka became a central trading hub, the Indian and Arabian merchants preferred Kedah as it is geographically positioned on the same latitude as Southern India. In those days, the ships got to their destinations by hugging close to the coastlines so that they didn't float away into the vast, open sea. This means that the ships could sail due east or west through the Bay of Bengal without getting lost. The highest peak of Kedah being the only visible landmark identifiable from miles away, commands a magnificent view of the coastal plain, the Merbok estuary to the south and the sea.

Annual Grand Meeting Kembara Uniutama, UUM

What we have done? Hehe.. Precious moment, when they are together in team doing a big ceremony once for a year, Annual Grand Dinner 2014, Kembara Uniutama Club. The theme! Great theme.. Haha. The theme is winter in summer!! Yeahh summer.. Before the event launched, before the event has set up, every body has thought....

"What a ridiculous theme?? Sintok is dry. Sintok is hot. Sintok become dull. Sintok is not cold like before. Sintok need water. And the most important, Malaysia is located at equator line maa... (hoho). So that you wanna wear a thick cloth? Or jacket? Or coat? Sweater?....and and snow cap, scarf, hat? ... Errr.. During a summer??? Krik krik.. "

But........

"Wow!! Different from other theme. Haha. Ridiculous. But we like.. We agree.. How to find those cloth? Ermm.. Challenging! Sometimes, wanna have a gorgeous theme too.. Wanna looks different too.. Wanna looks great too.. Wanna feel like at oversea too.. Hihi. Or maybe wanna be a snowman! Ouuhhh! How to decorate the hall? How to make a gimmick?? The snow! Hermmm... Hermmm... Idea please!"

Some people said, "Smaller pieces.. Give it to me.."  Haha. Paappp! (sound from hand..maybe).. Tadaaa!! Already decorated... What a creative people haaa...

We are also using a recycle goods such as box, bed sheets, white paper and the most saving is 'things' inside the snowman. Guess what?? Hehe. It is dry leaf around UUM religion. Weehuuu.. Put them inside the plastic beg and then make it round shape. Tadaaa!! Simple, Saving, Creative!

Okay.. Back to our story..Why AGM? What for? AGM Kembara Uniutama is about appointing a person to be a new leader in the club. Seven people will selected and who has given the responsibility will be a new top management to handle the project and liable to conduct subordinates in the club. It is located at Jitra. Using the Changlun-Alor Setar highway, take the second exit to Bandar Darul Aman. Go straight and turn right at the junction. You can see Darul Aman Golf Club signboard (I'm not remember the real name), just follow the signboard and you can see the lake.

PICNIC means have something to cook and bring it to somewhere like a beach, lake, waterfall and also theme park to eat there. So, we cook first laa.. Hehe
